Sheffield Carers Centre draws on 30 years of history and expertise in supporting unpaid carers and has recently been awarded another five-year contract to provide vital advice and support to Sheffield carers. Our mission is to ensure that adult carers receive the recognition and the support they need to be carers. The charity has grown steadily and successfully navigated the transition from grant-funded services to those delivered through an outcomes-focused contract.

We are looking for a new CEO who can build upon the excellent work of our current CEO. The new CEO will be responsible for developing the overall strategy and driving our pledge to create and deliver exceptional services to meet carers' needs.

We are looking for the successful candidate to have: -

  • led successful teams
  • experience in successfully developing and delivering services
  • have an affinity with the mission, values and social purpose of Sheffield Carers Centre and
  • a genuine desire to help the organisation do the best for its service users and communities, as well as a collegiate working style
  • an outcomes-focused mindset.

Sheffield Carers Centre's vision is to create an organisation that attracts and retains the best, diverse talent, where everyone can bring their authentic self to work, reflecting the communities the organisation serves. We actively encourage applications from all groups and communities, as well as from Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic, LGBTQ+ and disabled people.
