Description

The Task?

To assist a disabled guy to assist time to get up in the morning and to go to bed later in the evening.
Every weekday morning and evening for an hour each, Monday to Friday, beginning at 9 or 9:30 am.
Still apply even if you can only cover either the morning sessions or evening sessions.

The Hours?

This is a Part Time role, of approximately two hours per day, if someone were to do both morning and evening times. (14 hours a week)
For approximately one hour per day, if only one slot per day was mutually agreed
This role will suit someone who is looking for additional income. It is not a full-time job.

Wages?

£15 per hour (will be taxed: NOT cash in hand)

When will you start?

The job will start on as soon as possible, at the convenient of the employer (me)

Probation period?

The probationary period will last six months. If successful, a long-term contract will be offered

What kind of person would be suitable?

Someone who needs the cash (obviously)!
A flexible person (sometimes you'll be expected to start earlier, for example)
An open-minded person. This is about personal-care, if you are squeamish or easily put off, this role is not for you.
Has a curious mind
Must be a person who considers disabled people to be … yes, ‘people’ and the same as anyone else!
Someone who has never done this before or has limited experience (a major plus!)
Someone keen to learn new skills
Someone who enjoys or can easily deal with the summer heat (Important)
MUST live fairly locally to NW6 London
MUST be physically fit
Is of any gender

Who is NOT suitable?

A person who loves caring for the ‘disabled’!
A person who will expect a disabled person to fit their lives around them
Time wasters (please, serious applicants only)
Self-employed “PAs” are not welcome. This is an employed role only
It is not suitable for people who think this job is to provide ‘care’! No, actually, this disabled person is a working adult with a private life
Unsuitable for people who cannot promise to be punctual or reliable
Unsuitable for people who cannot respect privacy
Unsuitable for people who will get too hot even in 22 degrees C!

Extra information:

You will not be required to be proficient in English. If you are not, you will have the opportunity to improve on the job
Training will be provided prior to beginning and during the role
No DBS check will be required.
Must provide references from either an employment or from a reputable person. All references will be checked.
