Registered Children’s Home Manager with previous experience of Home Management, OCF Level 5 or equivalent Leadership & Management and a robust knowledge of regulatory and legislative framework is required to join a fantastic team in Rochester, Kent.
SALARY: £41,000 - £48,000 per annum (depending on experience)
LOCATION: Rochester, Kent

JOB OVERVIEW
We have an exciting opportunity for a Registered Children’s Home Manager with previous experience of Home Management, OCF Level 5 or equivalent Leadership & Management and a robust knowledge of regulatory and legislative framework.
The organisation is a leading Social Enterprise who have been “turning children’s lives around” since 1989.
Their “NEW” Young People’s Setting is due to open in Autumn 2021, and they are looking for a dynamic Registered Children’s Home Manager to steer the Leadership team in the home based in Rochester, Kent.
This new home will support young people aged 12+ for an “edge of care Assessment Service”. The young people will be in residence for a 16 week programme which is assessment-led.
The home is a 4 bedded setting that focusses on supporting their young people in an integrated treatment plan and as the Registered Children’s Home Manager, you will be leading your senior team in terms of supervision and staff development, creating robust rota systems and maintaining the highest possible standards of childcare, ensuring that each young-people agreed placement plan is fully implemented and relevant.
You will be working alongside the Local Authority, and Multi-Agency Framework.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
As the Registered Children’s Home Manager you will have the following:
OCF Level 5 or equivalent Leadership & Management
Extensive experience of Home Management
Experience of leading and managing a team of Child Care Workers
Robust knowledge of regulatory and legislative framework
Good knowledge Ofsted benchmarking and SCCIF
A proven Ofsted track record
A leader of trauma informed care
A Full Driving Licence is essential
