About the Hotel

This beautiful new Crowne Plaza hotel in Reading, consists of 174 brand new bedrooms, 8 conference suites for up to 260 in the largest suite, a new Fine Dining 2AA Rosette Restaurant & Terrace, Lounge bar and superb Esprit wellness & Spa.

The hotel is conveniently located adjacent to the Winnersh Triangle station, and within very close proximity of Reading and Wokingham.

We are looking for a talented, enthusiastic and experienced Sous Chef to join our kitchen, producing high quality modern British dishes.

You will work closely together with our highly talented Head Chef to deliver innovative menus, and to lead the team to deliver smooth, enjoyable service whilst maintaining quality and consistency of all dishes.

The role of the Sous Chef

You should have a proven and stable background as a Sous or Senior Sous Chef, ideally in a branded hotel environment or busy rosette establishment, with knowledge of UK food safety and health & safety requirements.

You should work at consistently high standards, be well presented appearance and excellent communication

You’ need to be passionate about great food and have a genuine desire to learn about our ingredients and suppliers

The Requirements for the Sous Chef

Ideal candidates should have the following attributes:-

1.At least 2 years previous experience as a Sous Chef with strong attention to detail.

2. A great team spirit

3. A ‘Can do’ attitude
