Handle Recruitment are working with an events business based in central London to find an experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their finance team. Working in a fast-paced, dynamic and creative environment, this is a sole Accounts Payable role responsible for ensuring supplier invoices are paid and processed in a timely manner.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure all invoices are checked, coded and matched with POs prior to posting to accounting system
- Prepare payment runs
- Post cashbook payments and receipts
- Reconcile purchase ledger accounts to supplier statements
- Assist with quarterly VAT returns
- Processing credit card payments on a daily basis
- Process sales receipts
- Assist finance team with other finance tasks such as credit control
We are looking for a proactive and self motivated purchase ledger clerk with 4-5 years of experience in a similar role. You should have excellent attention to detail, strong communication skills and the ability to work autonomously. Prior AP experience within the events industry is a huge bonus!
