Description:

The Courtauld Institute of Art is the UK’s leading institution for teaching and research in Art History and the conservation of paintings; it is also home to one of the finest small art museums in the world. The Courtauld is currently undergoing a capital transformation project that will make The Courtauld’s world-class artworks, research and teaching accessible to more people – in the UK and internationally.

As a member of the Programme Administration team, based in the wider Student and Academic Services department, you will be the lead administrator for the BA and Graduate Diploma History of Art programmes, covering the entire student journey from enrolment and graduation, providing excellent customer service and administrative support to both students and academics. You will build up a detailed understanding of The Courtauld’s BA and Graduate Diploma programmes in order to support the work of the Programme Administration Team and to respond to enquiries about undergraduate academic programmes and related issues. The role holder will also support assessment and examination work ensuring accuracy at all times and that deadlines are met.

With excellent attention to detail, the successful candidate should have good IT skills, with knowledge of SITS student database an advantage, and a strong customer service focus.

You will have:

  • Experience in Higher Education administration.
  • Excellent administrative skills.
  • Ability to use IT systems and software appropriate to the role.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail – able to work accurately under pressure.
  • Ability to work effectively and accurately under pressure and to tight deadlines.
  • Ability to engage with administrative and academic colleagues clearly and with confidence.
