A4ID’s thought leadership and policy work provoke discussion on best practice for the legal and development communities in key areas such as business and human rights in the legal, business and development sectors; the role of law and rule of law in international development; and the advancement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (“SDGs”) with its objective of eradicating poverty globally by 2030.

Since 2015, A4ID has also worked to promote global economic growth by strengthening the rule of law in developing countries through its Rule of Law Expertise UK (ROLE UK) Programme, by supporting partnerships providing high-quality, pro bono legal and judicial expertise from the UK and international legal and judicial sectors.

However, to ensure that A4ID’s ROLE UK Programme is best placed to deliver on its strong potential, A4ID is seeking a talented leader for its L&K programme team to ensure that the programme remains as efficient, effective, and impactful as possible, and to maintain its track record of excellence well into the future.

A4ID is therefore seeking an outstanding individual to join its senior management team in the new and exciting role of ROLE UK Programme Lead, to drive forward the implementation of A4ID’s current strategy through the high-quality, successful delivery of its rule of law programmatic activity across the world.

You will be a capable development professional with experience of developing and implementing impactful, high-profile programmes globally. You will be comfortable building and maintaining strong relationships with senior stakeholders and will inspire trust throughout the A4ID team.

You will enjoy working with a team of bright, capable individuals to drive high performance and achievement in a robust, emotionally intelligent manner. You will be skilled at identifying areas for improvement, at designing new effective and impactful rule of law programmes, and in securing funds and income generation targets to ensure the longer-term sustainability of the RUKP team and its impact.

You will be able to inspire the confidence of the A4ID leadership team that the rule of law work is being well run and will be able to maintain positive, healthy working relationships at all levels of the organisation.

The A4ID office is based in London, UK. A4ID can be flexible on location, although there will be an expectation of attending the London office at least one day per month and as may be required for the necessary delivery of the responsibilities of the role.
