Description:

  • To provide effective and efficient diary management and support for MOPAC’s key Principals
  • To work closely with MOPAC’s Executive Assistant team ensuing that the medium to long term diary planning for all Principals is organised in a proficient and organised manner
  • To build relationships with counterparts across all of MOPAC’s diverse stakeholders, ensuring alignment with their key Principals
  • Providing wider support to Private Office and Secretariat when workloads peak and additional resource is required to maintain efficiency

The Mayor’s Office for Policing and Crime (MOPAC) is the organisation through which the Mayor of London exercises his role as the Police and Crime Commissioner for London and is led by the Deputy Mayor for Policing and Crime. MOPAC undertakes a broad range of statutory duties and works closely with the Mayor of London, Deputy Mayor and Metropolitan Police Service to deliver the priorities that will create safer London communities.

This is an exciting and new opportunity to join MOPAC’s busy Private Office and Secretariat team. The role will work closely with the Executive Assistants who support all of MOPAC’s key Principals which includes the Deputy Mayor for Policing and Crime, Chief Executive Officer and MOPAC’S Directors. The Diary Manager will ensure all the medium to long term diary management is managed for all Principals and will ensure support is provide to the Executive Assistant team. The role will engage closely with stakeholder across MOPAC’s vast network to ensure all meetings are taking place with the right people at the right time.

Political Restriction

Political Restriction; under the Local Government and Housing Act 1989 (as amended by the Police Reform and Social Responsibility Act 2011) all members of staff of MOPAC will be politically restricted without the right to apply for an exemption.

Security Vetting Clearance

The successful candidates will be expected to undergo the necessary security vetting which may take around 8 weeks to be completed. Applicants will also need to have resided in the UK continuously for at least the last three years.
