Description

Intelligent, reliable, discreet, and motivated adult needed to assist and support a professional 36year-old woman (who has multiple sclerosis and is a wheelchair user) with personal care, household jobs, and transporting her to her work and other activities. The applicant will give the employer general help to comfortably enjoy her life.

A good rate of pay is offered in return for the work of a committed and sensible person

Hours: There will be maternity cover needed towards the end 2021 which will be Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays, all 9.30am -2.30pm (or later if available). This is likely to increase if the applicant and employee get along as other team members shifts often need covering and occasional weekend days also need covering. Please still of you apply if you can do some, but not all, of the shifts.

There will be a 6 month probation period at the start of employment.

Person specification:

- Applicant must be calm, good at communication and have confidence, common sense and a caring nature.

- They must be a driver who is comfortable with driving employer’s automatic car on all journeys, including motorways.

- They must be physically fit.

- Applicant must have some flexibility, as the times they are needed will vary and they will be asked to cover shifts due to team member absence from time to time.

- heavy smokers need not apply. Applicant will not be permitted to smoke on duty.

- Applicant must have had 2 Covid jabs and be prepared to take weekly tests.

Pay:

£10 per hour, plus 28 days (pro rata) statutory holiday pay.
