We're looking for a Handyperson in the Yorkshire Coast area, based at Ravenscar, between Scarborough and Whitby.

Hours: 22.5 hours per week. You’ll be working on changeover days, mainly Fridays, Saturdays, and Mondays with other days to be agreed with your line manager..

Salary: £10,978 per annum (£18,298 full time equivalent)

Duration: Permanent

What it's like to work here

We are a small team and are immensely proud of our cottages and the standard we provide for our guests. We currently have three holiday cottages at Ravenscar, one at Robin Hood’s Bay, and two in Bransdale, near Kirkbymoorside – Chapel Cottage, High Peak, Low Peak, Boatman’s Loft, Cockayne Cottage, and High Lidmoor.

Due to the location of the cottages, having your own vehicle is essential.

What you'll be doing

Your work will be crucial in supporting the delivery of an efficient, effective and flexible Holidays operation. You’ll be visiting cottages regularly, carrying out ongoing maintenance and checks during changeovers and caring for the cottages’ outdoor spaces, such as gardens, throughout the year. You’ll play an important part in our compliance obligations, carrying out routine checks such as testing fire alarms, and recording of tests in log books. From time to time, you’ll also help our Holidays Operations Assistants to prepare cottages at changeover.
