The organisation:
Established in 2010, our client is creating a real future for rural Britain. Their vision is of thriving family farms and rural communities, appreciated and encouraged for the way they look after the countryside and their role in creating a sustainable future for our whole nation. The charity awards over £500,000 in grants to rural, community-led projects across the UK each year and with a new three-year strategy in place, this is an exciting time to join the charity.
We are delighted to be working with the Fund to recruit a Team Administrator/Executive Assistant to support the Executive Director and Senior Management Team.
The role:
The role will provide high-level executive support to the Executive Director, plus other members of the Senior Management Team - the Head of Operations and the Head of External Affairs - across all aspects of the Fund's work. This will include responsibility for a wide range of activities, including key administrative tasks, diary and travel management, drafting papers, research, providing insight for briefings and responsibility for specific administrative tasks. The Executive Assistant will also help the Senior Grants Officer twice a year with grants administration.
The person:
The successful candidate will have substantial administration experience in a busy office environment either in the charity sector or perhaps from the corporate or commercial world. Experience of SALESFORCE or a similar CRM database will be essential as well as having worked on multiple administrative projects simultaneously. This person will be an excellent communicator, both written and verbally and will be a warm, approachable and helpful collaborator. Outstanding attention to detail, highly organised and diplomatic, this person will have the emotional maturity to see the bigger picture and understand the necessity for confidentiality and discretion at all times. Keen to learn and develop in the role, this person will be resourceful and able to work as part of a small team, taking responsibility and using their initiative to anticipate issues before the arise and being solutions driven in their approach to work.
This role represents a fantastic opportunity for someone keen to develop EA skills and experience whilst working for a brilliant charity which is committed to a sustainable future for the those living and working in rural communities across the UK.
