JOB TITLE: Support Worker

PURPOSE: Provide quality care to adults who have learning disabilities .

ACCOUNTABLE TO: Manager

We are looking for a new person to join our small friendly team to support three residents, Waking Night Support Worker, Thursday and Friday enhanced rates of pay offered.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide support, advocacy and information to the people that we support.
Provide emotional and practical support to people when they need it.
Assist with personal care needs sensitively and appropriately to a high standard, including personal hygiene, assistance with laundry, cleaning and preparing meals and drinks, administering medication where appropriate etc.
Enable the residents to achieve independence as far as possible in all aspects of their life.
Assist in devising, implementing and reviewing care plans.
Create opportunities for social and leisure activities.
Introduce the people you assist to a range of facilities and amenities in the local neighbourhood and wider community.
Actively enable, develop and maintain links within the local community
Liaise with other Professionals.
Keep records and complete a variety of administration tasks to a competent standard.
Participate in regular supervision, team meetings and training as required.
You will be expected to cover the work of your team during absence, vacancies etc.
Liaise with other team members to provide a cohesive and consistent service.
