A vacancy has arisen for an Operations Manager (Green Spaces and Cemeteries Services) based in the Civic Offices, Bridgend.

The main duties of the post are, in conjunction with the Green Spaces and Bereavement Services Manager, deliver efficient and effective operational and financial management of the Green Spaces and Cemeteries operational teams, including ongoing development of the service area. The post holder will need to demonstrate significant experience of managing front line operational staff and operatives at a senior level.

Ideally the successful candidate will be qualified to City and Guilds Phase 4 in green space related discipline, and through experience will have gained a broad knowledge and understanding of the management and maintenance of both green spaces and cemetery services and facilities.

Experience of working and liaising with clubs, community groups, voluntary organisations would be an advantage.

The ability to prioritise along with a flexible approach to work, the ability to work on own initiative, a full UK clean driving licence are essential.

The successful candidate will be able to greet customers in welsh.
