Do you have experience of cost recovery and grants finance?
Our client, a global children's charity, is seeking a Grants Finance Specialist to join their entrepreneurial and engaging team.
The role will work with a vast range of stakeholders to primarily provide effective financial and compliance support throughout project lifecycles across a multi country, discipline portfolio. You will be working with the many teams across Humanitarian, Programmes Commercial contracting and Corporate as well as with a range of donors. You will apply your expertise to these stakeholders and support the projects to ensure robust and effective financial management and compliance, going on to guarantee relevant and timely reporting. A key part of the role is driving good cost recovery practice, building capacity and providing advice to donors.
The right candidate will have an accounting/finance background (qualified accountant or working towards a CCAB-recognised qualification), alongside a proactive and business partnering approach to engaging stakeholders on financial management. You will possess knowledge of institutional grants and/or commercial contracts grants funded by major donors, including trusts and foundations and be abreast of the current developments, key terms and trends in the sector. Although not essential, experience in and INGO setting and or some exposure to developing commercial budgets and risk based modelling is desirable. The role will entail up to 40% international travel.
