HR Business Partner
Where you’ll work: Based at North Kent College’s Dartford campus, with travel to the Gravesend, Hadlow and Tonbridge sites as required. Remote working considered from time to time, dependent on business need.
Your hours: 37 hours per week (Monday to Friday), 52 weeks per annum.
Your pay: Up to £37,000 per annum (depending on qualifications and experience).
A rare opportunity has arisen for an HR Business Partner to join North Kent College’s expanding HR department, working as part of a close-knit team in a true generalist capacity during a period of exciting change.
As a trusted, credible, and business-minded professional, you’ll be responsible for providing an effective and efficient HR partnering service to all levels within the College, being methodical and organised in your approach to ensure the smooth running of the provision in line with College polices, procedures and legal requirements.
This could be the role for you if:
- you are CIPD qualified at Level 5 (preferably Level 7);
- you have sound experience of working within an HR team at a similar level (i.e. Senior Advisor), or if you currently work at Advisor level and are ready to take the next step in your career;
- you are confident in providing a high level of HR support, including coaching and supporting managers through complex employee relations matters (disciplinary, grievance, conflict resolution, absence management, performance, change-related, etc.);
- you have excellent knowledge of employment law and maintain close attention to legislative changes which impact on and require application to the workplace;
- you have experience in handling a variety of difficult situations and resolving them in an appropriate, timely manner;
- you are confident in prioritising your workload to successfully deliver the HR service and strategy, covering both operational and project based work;
- you have excellent IT and administration skills, with the ability to maintain an HR information system with absolute accuracy and extract / present relevant information for reporting purposes.
