Proactive, experienced and confident Events professional? Looking to make a difference working on an exciting programme of events for a local hospice charity?
Salary: £22,549--£24,882
Location: York
You will deliver exceptional experiences for supporters by developing and delivering an on-going fundraising events portfolio including challenge, sports and mass participation events, a schools fundraising programmes and special events like the upcoming black-tie ball.
You'll be excited by the prospect of joining an organisation in the process of implementing a new vision for its future and looking to embrace a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
Things to look forward to in this role:
* working with fundraising colleagues to coordinate key hospice events
* producing the full events portfolio, from Day 1 planning to independent event execution
* relationship management of third parties and stewardship of event participants
* ensuring any learning points are captured and reflected in ongoing events
* managing fundraising in school settings to encourage support in our local community from a young age
Experience of charity event delivery would be warmly welcome, but we'd also be happy to consider fundraisers from other disciplines looking for a change of direction or events / projects professionals looking to for their first charity role.
Most importantly, you will have a genuine passion for hospice work and meeting the needs of existing and new supporters; you will be committed to putting the patient at the centre of everything that the hospice works to achieve.
Flexible, life and family-friendly. Hybrid working in place, open to 1 day from home and office base in York.
