They strive to improve the world through engineering by developing engineers, promoting engineering, informing opinion and encouraging innovation.
They are now seeking a Volunteer and Development Executive to join their team in London.
The Role
As a Volunteer and Development Executive, you will be responsible for overseeing our client’s continual professional development (CPD) auditing process, ensuring members stay at the cutting edge of engineering. You will also help to supervise around 1,600 volunteers who are involved in membership application processes.
Collaborating with the Marketing and IT departments, you will manage our client’s CPD auditing activities, including providing support to their CPD Assessment Committee. You will deliver annual audits of members’ CPD records and provide them with high-quality feedback, whilst ensuring maximum engagement and timely delivery.
Additionally, you will manage volunteer recruitment, training and monitoring, as well as providing individualised feedback.
Your role will also include:
- Taking the lead in responding to CPD-related queries by phone, email and online media
- Reviewing CPD Assessors’ feedback
- Acting as the primary point of contact for the international interview co-ordinators
- Producing regular statistical and usage reports on CPD audit and related activities
About You
To be considered as a Volunteer and Development Executive, you will need:
- Previous administration experience
- Experience of providing customer service in a busy office environment
- Previous experience of dealing with enquiries
- Experience of delivering presentations and structured group meetings
- Experience of working towards deadlines and managing priorities
- Excellent organisation and time management skills
- The ability to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team
- Excellent communication skills
- IT literacy, including MS Office
- A highly motivated mentality
- A flexible approach
Experience working with volunteers would be beneficial to your application, as would knowledge of professional development. Minute taking experience would also be advantageous, as would A-level qualifications or equivalent administrative experience.
