Hours: Full time in term time plus 14 days inc. Staff Study Days
The role:
Oxford High School are looking for an Art and Textiles Technician to provide support in both the Art Department and the Textiles Department.
As Art and Textiles Technician, your duties will include:
- Ensuring that all the materials and equipment are available in studio rooms as required for lessons and other co-curricular activities
- Providing technical support and assistance for practical sessions
- Assisting with the organisation, mounting, presentation and exhibition of art, design and textiles work
- Monitoring, ordering and maintaining stock and equipment
- Preparing materials for student project work
- Administering health and safety files, risk assessments and inventories
- Ensuring studios and other rooms are tidy, clean and safe
The successful candidate will be suitably qualified and have experience in art, craft and design activities. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills as well as great organisational, practical and administrative skills are also essential in order to contribute to the continuing success and happy atmosphere at our school.
Flexibility to work across both the departments is required.
