About Us:
Seize and create opportunities for a diverse and talented community.
In Kensington and Chelsea, we put local people at the heart of decision-making, working in partnership to provide quality services that are responsive, effective and efficient. This is particularly important in the aftermath of the Grenfell Tower tragedy.
Through a multi-million pound refurbishment - co-designed with residents - we’re transforming Lancaster West into a model estate for the 21st century. Ensuring that an investment in Lancaster West is also an investment in North Kensington, we are working closely with local communities to provide new jobs and training opportunities, promote health and well-being, and become a neighbourhood equipped for a digital and sustainable future.
The Role:
As a Community Development and Partnerships Manager based in the heart of North Kensington, you’ll be key to our success in creating and seizing opportunities to improve the lives of local residents.
You’ll co-create a programme of innovative community initiatives that will have a lasting legacy. These might include training, access to work, health and well-being activities and improvement of communal spaces. We will also look to provide creative respite options for residents from the noise and disruption of refurbishment, as well as coordinating volunteer programmes that deliver outcomes for our community.
You’ll need to forge positive relationships with residents’ associations and community groups, as well as with employers, education and support agencies. You’ll source funding opportunities, promote volunteering and maximise the use of community assets. It’s an opportunity to make your mark in a high-profile location by creating genuine social value, and a lasting legacy.
