Prospectus are delighted to be working with our client in their search for a Senior Evidence and Evaluation Officer (SEO). Our client is an independent, not for profit organisation set up to tackle youth unemployment with a £90million endowment from the Reclaim Fund. Their vision is of a society where all young people have equitable access to good quality jobs.

The foundation aim to narrow the employment gap by identifying what works and why, investing in evidence generation and innovation, and igniting a movement for change. The organisation focuses on young people in England aged 14-24 (with a priority for those aged 16-24) who face significant barriers into sustained, good work. When the organisation launched, youth unemployment was already too high, particularly for young people facing disadvantage or discrimination.

Within this role, you will be responsible for supporting all aspects of evaluations from design to dissemination. This will include; working closely with our grants team to ensure grant-funded programmes are supported within the set-up phase, supporting grantees through their evaluation journey, and managing external evaluation contracts.

The successful candidate will have knowledge or experience of evaluation methodologies (such as programme theory, process, impact and/or RCT trial design) gained within a commissioning or research setting, and a good track record in supporting successful research and evaluation projects. You will have good experience of qualitative and quantitative research, including critically appraising qualitative and quantitative data, evidence, and literature, and a relevant qualification in an economic, social science or related discipline - or on-the-job experience or training, ideally with strong quantitative and qualitative elements.
