We’re looking for one person to join our team as a Waking Night Worker to provide support at an Extra Care scheme in Chelmsford. If this is of interest, then we would love to hear from you.

NHG’s Care and Support department delivers homes for thousands of people who face challenges in today’s housing climate. Our residents include people who have learning disabilities, physical disabilities and mental health needs as well as older people with care needs. We strive to ensure that, regardless of need, our residents can lead their lives at home with dignity, in safety and in control.

Located in Chelmsford area, the Waking Night Worker will be responsible for health and safety and delivering out of hours housing related support in one service Freeman Court. The scheme is accommodation-based environments made up of Extra Care Persons who have varying support needs, with care packages assigned where required.

The successful applicant will have experience using MS Word, Excel and Outlook, along with good judgement, strong interpersonal, communication and administration skills. Practical experience of dealing with, and resolving, health & safety concerns is desirable. No prior housing management experience is required for this post but experience of working in a customer facing role is a pre-requisite.

In return we offer generous annual leave plus bank holidays (pro-rata for part time staff), health cash plan, season ticket loan, tenancy deposit loan, cycle-2-work scheme, childcare vouchers, life assurance and a generous contributory pension offer.

Shortlisted candidates will be required to complete online tests prior to their interviews.
