1:1 Teaching Assistant, Permanent Position
Location: Reading, Berkshire start: Immediate
Teacher training opportunity after 1 year
Looking for a role working 1:1 with a child who has SEN, where you can make a huge difference?
An OFSTED rate 'Good' School based in the Reading, Berkshire is looking for a personable candidate to join their School, on a long-term basis, as a 1:1 Teaching Assistant. The School is a short walk from Reading station and offers onsite parking for someone who is looking to drive to work. This forward thinking Primary School has a strong focus on the local community and both Children and Staff do their bit to give back. Being a 3-form entry, this Primary School is able to offer constant support and encouragement, all Teaching Assistants are encouraged to work together and give support and training when required.
The successful 1:1 Teaching Assistant will need to have a degree and a keen interest in working closely with SEN students, along with a minimum of 3 months' experience working closely to Primary School children. Alternatively, the successful candidate will have over 6 months' experience working with SEN children, in a School environment or a similar situation. This role will be a full time role, on an ongoing contract until the end of July minimum. Should the successful candidate, prove themselves while in the role, there is an opportunity for a permanent contract and on the job teacher training, to start next year.

This Primary School is holding trial days ASAP and looking for someone to start ASAP so the successful candidate will need to be available to start immediately after trialling.
