Marketing & Business Shared Services team contributes to broad spectrum which stretches from creating marketing collaterals, deploying digital campaigns & managing Author Helpdesk. Our in-house developed data driven analytics enables us to calculate print run of a book, finalizing price of Springer Nature Books and developing market intelligence reports.
Every day, we publish a large number of new articles across renowned Springer Nature Journals and dozens of books and ebooks in all areas of science. And depending on the type of product, the success measurements and optimization approaches also differ - from increasing usage of our content platforms to maximizing turnover in the eCommerce shops.
You will play an important role in continuing the digital evolution of our publishing business. As a data-driven SEO manager, your activities’ focus is on the support and continuous development of our technical SEO activities and processes. You will conduct regular health checks of our websites and ensure optimal crawlability and discoverability of our content. Activities include, e.g., extensive SEO audits of our numerous platforms such as link.springer.com, or nature.com and regularly consulting with your company-wide stakeholders on the implementation of optimization measures, as well as the setup of SEO monitoring and reporting individualized for different stakeholders. You will also create technical guidelines, workshops, training, and much more to bring SEO closer to other departments and optimize existing processes from an SEO perspective.
Key Functional Areas of Responsibility
- In-depth technical SEO analyses and audits of all Springer Nature e-commerce and publishing platforms.
- Direct communication and discussions of SEO analysis, measures and recommendations with various stakeholders, e.g. IT and product data teams.
- Creation of technical SEO concepts and guidelines and preparation and implementation of internal technical SEO workshops.
- Writing up and evaluating technical SEO reports.
- Internal SEO communication and blogging.
- Continuous trend, market, and competition monitoring.
- Monitor and evaluate search results and search performance across the major search channels. Communication to team and management on project development, timelines, and results.
- Provide oversight and work closely with the other team members and teams (e.g., SEA) to meet internal goals.
