Roles: 1 x permanent and 1 x maternity 12-month FTC
The role
As a Casework Manager you will be at the front-line of the regulatory work we undertake and will be responsible for managing a team of Case Officers, carrying a varied caseload that at times involves complex, high profile and sensitive issues. Your work will involve providing quality assurance, case supervision and guidance, as well as managing the personal and professional development of the Case Officers.
The successful applicant will:
- Develop management experience whilst maintaining active involvement in casework. There is also an opportunity to get involved in strategy and improvement work.

In addition to the usual FtP matters, recent investigations have involved issues around EU law, cross jurisdictional matters, the Information Commissioner, whistleblowing, online/digital investigations, and covert surveillance. Our Case Managers will contribute to (and, where appropriate, support) wider GPhC initiatives and projects.
- Take a person-centred approach to resolving conflicts and disputes to deliver a high-quality, customer-focused service.
- Be open, communicative, and honest, willing to share information and confident to ask questions and manage expectations.
- Be able to demonstrate accuracy and attention to detail, whilst working efficiently to meet challenging deadlines.
- Have an unwavering commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion.
Benefits when joining our team
In return for their commitment and enthusiasm, applicants can expect a rewarding and challenging work environment, good work-life balance and workload plus an excellent benefits package that includes:
- 30 days holiday (plus bank holidays) with the option to buy an additional 5 days.
- A choice between two pension providers: NHS pension scheme or Standard Life
- Flexible working arrangements.
- Career breaks and sabbaticals.
- Subsidised gym membership.
- Private medical insurance, life assurance, season ticket loan, bike loan and many more.
