This Outstanding School are seeking a hardworking, committed and reliable Caretaker to work with them on a permanent basis. This is a full time role working 40 hours per week 8am-4pm. This position is paying £19,312-£21,748 depending on experience.

This is a partially selective secondary girls' school for students aged between 11 and 16. This is a wonderful multicultural community with 17 different ethnic groups and over 50 languages spoken. This is widely celebrated as students are exposed to many beliefs, faiths and identities. This school achieve high academic excellence and is performing in the top 1% of all Schools nationally. They have a strong commitment to high standards for students and staff. Teachers are highly qualified and all share a passionate belief that every student in school matters.

The aim of this post, in common with all others, is to sustain and improve the quality of education offered within the school. The Caretaker will work to support the ethos and maintain the environment of the School. The successful applicant will be required to undertake the following responsibilities:

• Undertake basic maintenance of heating, lighting, plumbing, security systems, painting and decorating to ensure they operate safely and efficiently and that the environment is kept to a suitable standard.
• Spot cleaning.
• Perform duties in line with health and safety requirements and take remedial action where hazards are identified
• Help to maintain the school grounds to ensure they are fit for purpose
• Ensure that all allocated equipment, furniture and materials are stored safely and securely in order to prevent unauthorised access and potential accidents/misuse
• Participate in training and other learning activities and performance development as required
• Undertake minor building works
• Routine check of perimeter fencing and playground surfaces for damage and cleanliness
