Head of Finance
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Salary: £52,863 - £56,083 dependent on experience
Based: Cambridge
Our client, a Cambridge College, wishes to recruit an experienced Head of Finance to ensure the smooth running of their College Finance Department. Reporting directly to the Bursar, the role has line management responsibility for a small team and will also be responsible for the College payroll (predominantly outsourced) and financial compliance (VAT, PAYE etc).
You will have an excellent knowledge of management accounting and have a thorough understanding of financial processes and controls and of managing payroll. You will be capable of taking responsibility for the entire College finance function and have previous experience of managing and leading a finance team. You will possess first class accounting skills, a proven ability to work to deadlines and under pressure and to contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of financial processes and reporting.
The College will consider candidates who are fully qualified or qualified by experience. It is paramount that you have strong Excel skills and previous experience of Microsoft Dynamics GP is an advantage. You will have strong attention to detail and be adaptable and proactive in your approach to work
