What makes working at OHC&AT uniquely rewarding is that we are a family of College centres and schools, fully representative of all designations of special education needs and disabilities and we are all passionately committed about putting the students and their individual outcomes at the heart of everything we do. We currently have 4 regional hubs - North West London/Slough, South West London, Sutton and Croydon and Surrey & Sussex.

For children and young people, especially those with special educational needs or who experience other barriers to learning, our world can present many challenges. All young people deserve to leave education confident that they have developed the skills they need to achieve their ambitions, with meaningful education, work and life experiences to draw on. This is the confidence that we aim to deliver.

You will provide a high standard of clinically effective, person centred and evidence based assessment of wellbeing, and intervention to students with profound/multiple learning disabilities as well as physical disability/complex physical health needs and SEMH (social, emotional and mental health) needs. You will support staff wellbeing, by developing and delivering training for staff and managers to promote health and wellbeing in the workplace and provide support and supervision for our mental health first aiders. You will also play a pivotal role in building a Wellbeing Pathway to support students and staff.

The right person will have attained a degree or graduate diploma in Occupational Therapy, Psychology or Behaviour Therapy, however experience will be taken into consideration if you do not have a formal qualification. You will be able to demonstrate experience of having worked with children and young people who have learning disabilities and physical and emotional needs. You will also possess a good understanding of the factors and a knowledge of the issues relating to health, lifestyle and mental health in children and young people, and the impact it can have on individuals.

We can offer you:

  • Competitive pension scheme (LGPS)
  • A supportive team
  • Perkbox benefits package offering numerous discounts across stores, gyms, supermarket discounts, as well as supporting staff with their financial, physical and emotional well-being
  • Annual leave based on 40 days per annum. Paid proportionately into salary.
