Charity People is pleased to have partnered with a leading hospital foundation in their search for a Philanthropy Officer. This is a varied role managing a portfolio of major donors and trusts and foundations. This is a 12-month, fixed term contract with potential to extend.
Our client is a leading hospital foundation bringing people together, to raise lifesaving funds for University Hospital Southampton - the South Coast's leading NHS provider. The hospital is a centre of excellent for research and provides a range of health services to over 1.9 million people.

About the role
You will join a small, ambitious and high impact fundraising team who have recently doubled their income and remain on a trajectory of growth.
In this varied role you will manage a portfolio of major donors, trusts and foundations. You will develop relationships with donors, provide high level stewardship and write successful grant applications that all result in income. You will also support the Trusts and Foundations Manager on a variety of key projects including a grant making project.
About you
We are looking for an experienced relationship fundraiser, preferably with a mix of experience in major donor/gifts and trusts and foundations.
You will be pro-active with strong communications skills and will show attention to detail when managing relationships with donors. You will be an excellent writer, able to submit creative and compelling grant applications.
This role would suit an ambitious candidate, looking to enhance their career by working in an environment that will expose them to managing high level donor relationships and a range of exciting and innovative projects.
This is a full time, fixed term 12-month contract with possibility of extension for the right candidate. The salary is £32, 306 + a range of NHS benefits.
