Charity People have partnered with a national LGBTQ+ Youth Homelessness charity in their search for a Fundraising Manager (Trusts & Foundations). This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced fundraiser to manage an established portfolio for an organisation supporting young LGBTQ+ people.

Our client is a national LGBTQ+ Youth Homelessness charity provides safe homes, mentoring and support to young people. Currently 24% of young people facing homelessness in the UK identify as LGBTQ and 77% cite abuse and rejection by their families as their primary reason for seeking help.

This is an organisation that ensure no young person needs to choose between a safe home and being who they are. They support 2, 000+ young people each year with services centres in London, Manchester, Newcastle and Bristol. In 2012, akt opened the UK's first emergency safe house for LGBTQ+ people.

About the role

You will lead an established portfolio of trusts, corporate and family foundations (£400K+) and manage long-term relationships with funders. This is one of akt's primary funding streams, made up of small and large, restricted and unrestricted funding applications.

You will ensure the continued success and growth of this portfolio. You will work with colleagues to identify projects and develop compelling cases for support. You will also undertake prospect research.

About you
