Description

Philanthropy Manager (Capital Build)
Fixed-term contract
Salary £40k, open to negotiation
Manchester, with hybrid and remote options

Does a brand-new, world class venue for arts, entertainment, culture and creative learning in the heart of Manchester stop you in your tracks? Could you help realise an ambitious, aspirational capital project that will put Manchester firmly on the map as an innovator and creator of ground-breaking, original art?

Developed by Manchester City Council and home to Manchester International Festival, The Factory is designed around large open, flexible spaces that provide new opportunities to artists, brands and creatives.

You'll work with a supportive Head of Philanthropy who enjoys and encourages collaborative engagement strategies, to bring The Factory to life alongside major funders (individuals, trusts and corporates).

Providing a chance to work together on principal gifts, as well as a portfolio of five and six figure asks, your sights will be set firmly on the North and UK's biggest funders, as well as international prospects.

Who are we looking for?
We're open to philanthropy and high-value fundraising candidates from a range of backgrounds, whether Arts, charity or higher education. You could be a major donor, trusts or corporate specialist by trade, but you'll be capable of working with donors across income streams and experienced at putting together compelling proposals.

You're a naturally creative and curious fundraiser; capital experience would be a bonus, but certainly not essential. You can talk comfortably and confidently about arts and culture and share The Factory's vision for a world where art is accessible to all.

We are advertising the role full time, but happy to explore reduced hours/days if preferred.

If we've piqued your interest, please get in touch with a copy of your CV to Amelia Lee at Charity People who will be happy to provide additional information.

***Charity People's offices will be closed from Christmas Eve until 4th January to give our busy team a much needed break, so please bear with us for a response in early in the new year - we'll be in touch very soon and the closure has been factored into deadlines***

Final deadline: Monday 17th January

Charity People actively promotes equality, diversity and inclusion. We match charity needs with skills and experience of candidates, irrespective of age, disability (including hidden disabilities), gender, gender identity or gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief, or sexual orientation. We do this because we know greater diversity will lead to even greater results for the charities we work with.
