Description

Our Health Data Studies Projects Manager is an exciting and varied role working across our range of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) health data projects for clients in industry, the NHS and academia. Our projects may be research in IBD, or improving clinical quality of care, or working closely with industry in IBD. Many of our projects can lead to a research or academic publication.

We are looking for someone with project management delivery experience in the field of health data projects, clinical studies or trials, or similar health studies. We co-design projects with clients to find solutions that satisfy their stakeholder needs, and we ensure delivery through close project management. You will have a track record of delivering projects to time and budget and building positive working relationships to achieve this. You will be a self-starter, able to work autonomously and as part of the team, to deliver high quality work to fixed deadlines.

We are a small organisation with a big reach. We work closely with our three parent organisations: Crohn’s & Colitis UK, the British Society of Gastroenterology and the Royal College of Physicians. We work directly with hospitals, doctors and nurses across the UK; with drug studies, with the NHS, as well as with key Universities in the fields of biostatistics and data analytics.

There are approx. 500,000 people in the UK with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) such as Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis. We collect and analyse data from people with IBD nationally and are leaders in the fast-moving and exciting area of IBD health data. Our goal is to improve understanding of the care of people with IBD and their treatments and to facilitate research. These are lifelong diseases which can be debilitating, difficult to manage and are still not well understood.

By joining us you will become part of a dynamic and close team of people working to make a difference to the lives of people affected by inflammatory bowel disease. We're committed to ensuring a positive, invigorating and fun working culture and a home working – life balance approach to work, including hybrid working and flexible hours. Our staff have been working primarily at home during the pandemic, and we are looking to make hybrid working the standard. We also know that it is important to come together as an organisation, and we are fortunate to be able to meet regularly at our associated organisations which are based at Regent’s Park in London. Our main office is at Epsom, about 30mins by train from London.

The work we do is hard work but deeply rewarding. Above all this is for people who want a job that is far more than ‘just a job’. Working for the IBD Registry team means you can make a real difference to the lives of people with inflammatory bowel disease.
