We are proud to be partnering with University of Essex to recruit their new Head of Brand.
Within this busy and varied marcomms role, you will be responsible for helping Essex build understanding of what makes their education and research excellent - and how they differ from other universities, whilst also line managing a Senior Brand Management Officer.
Please note the University promotes hybrid working, with expectations, to work from their Colchester campus twice a week.
Role Objectives:
· Lead the implementation of the University's refreshed challenger philosophy across the University.
· Help senior leaders to build understanding of what being a challenger means across education, research and professional services.
· Help to embed challenger approaches in their thinking; their delivery and in their communications to potential students, students, staff, alumni and all our external stakeholders.
This is an opportunity to drive change and creativity in the way the University think about and present themselves. You will be an experienced marcomms professional; with resilience, credibility and enthusiasm. This is a role for a change maker.
Essential criteria:
Extensive experience and knowledge of managing a brand within a medium to large organisation, including developing and delivering brand and marcomms strategies.Experience of delivering brand perception research in order to gain customer insight to develop an organisational brand and visual identity.Experience of applying and evaluating brand across the full mix of marketing/communication channels.Knowledge and experience of how a brand and visual identity needs to adapt between target audiences.If you would like to apply, please forward your CV and we can reply with the JD and other details.
