Ribbons & Reeves are pleased to be working alongside the Head of School at a forward-looking, dynamic Academy in Croydon to support in the recruitment of a Subject Leader for Music to join an expanding Creative Arts Faculty. Ambitious Music ECTs who can demonstrate their ability to lead a Music department are encouraged to apply.

Subject Leader for Music | Job Summary:

• 11-18 Secondary School in Croydon
• MPS Outer London (£32,157 - £42,624) + TLR
• Leading a brand-new Music Department as part of an expanding Creative Arts Faculty
• Develop an entirely bespoke Music curriculum to meet the needs of the local community
• Permanent Contract commencing September 2022 (Easter starts could be available)
• Open to ambitious ECTs or Experienced Music Teachers seeking progression
• Interviews taking place in January for outstanding Music Teachers!

Subject Leader for Music | Person Specification:

• QTS / PGCE
• 1st or 2:1 Music related degree
• Excellent teaching record and broad base of Music subject knowledge
• Able to lead, challenge and motivate students
• Possess a range of teaching and learning strategies
• Ability to maintain good classroom behaviour
• Committed to working with parents and the wider community
