Salary: £24,500 - £26,500 per annum

Location: Stratford, London (1-2 days per week in the office)

Contract Length: Fixed Term Contract or Secondment Opportunity- 12 Months

Hours: Full time, 35 hours per week

We are looking for a Health Community Engagement Officer to join our friendly and dedicated team to support the smooth day-to-day planning, delivery and development of the Cancer Awareness in the Workplace (CAW) programme for companies across the UK.

In this role you will…

  • Responsible for the day-to-day planning and delivery of approved CAW activity as set-out by the HCE Project Manager for the CAW programme, including: liaising with company contacts and internal stakeholders, capturing information to help target the activity, managing the logistics, ensuring tools and resources are in place, and evaluating activity.

  • Co-ordinate health copy requests for companies as part of the CAW programme with the Health Information team and other teams as necessary, and design communications when needed.

  • Build effective relationships with companies and CRUK's internal teams - specifically Partnerships in the Marketing, Fundraising & Engagement directorate, and with teams in PIC who are key to the successful delivery of the CAW programme, particularly Health Information, Health Evaluation and the wider HCE team.

  • Bring your experience of evaluating health activities to support the CAW team to effectively monitor and evaluate the CAW programme. To include; working with the HCE Project Manager to create and review the evaluation framework and surveys for all CAW activities, co-ordinating the roll-out and analysis of our company-wide health surveys, working with the CAW Officers to ensure data is captured and stored correctly, and producing reports and recommendations as required.

  • Support HCE Project Manager with other CAW opportunities which are in line with programme priorities e.g. delivering the programme to clients for the commercial arm of the programme.

  • Create, develop and review CAW engagement tools, as set out by the HCE Project Managers.

  • Share responsibility with the rest of the CAW team to maintain appropriate logs and tracking documents, as necessary.

  • Support and work with others in the CAW team to continually improve the programme's evaluation, ways of working, processes, and marketing and communications.

  • Support with the delivery of the Cancer Awareness Advocacy scheme, as needed.

  • Interest in the area of improving health and wellbeing
