Business Design Analyst

We are running a campaign for a number of roles for Business Design Analyst to work in our Integrated Design and Delivery (IDD) function. You will be given a vast range of opportunities to get involved with making London the safest global city at a time of unprecedented change by improving the services we deliver to the people of London and improving the support we deliver to our employees.

A bit about the team….

The Business Design and Analysis team includes individuals with a diverse range of specialist skills and interests that we are seeking to enhance. The team seeks to transform how the Met operates as a business, principally through an operating model design process that is reliant on understanding business capabilities that represent our people, process, information, technology and infrastructure resources: in essence we translate strategic priorities into operational capabilities.

Benefits include access to 28 days annual leave, increasing by 5 days after 5 years, employer pension contributions up to 20%, learning and development resources, opportunity for flexible working and a salary range of £39,208 – £46,828 (inclusive of location allowance). Upon joining you should expect to receive £39,208, followed by annual incremental progression. There is an opportunity to start higher up the banding depending on skills and experience.

As a Business Design Analyst you will have the opportunity to….

Deliver high quality business design products that support the overall programme lifecycle, feeding into business cases by designing benefits and scalable outcomes for the business by;

• Mentoring and educating the organisation in business design methods including customer insight analysis, service design and innovation, process improvement, organisational capability design, demand analysis and enabling design; ensuring designs consider implications on e.g. estates or fleet.
• Driving the design and delivery of thematic or cross-programme products, such as end-to-end customer journeys working with frontline officers and members of the public.
• Conducting a programme of post-implementation design reviews, updating designs, or making recommendations for further changes as necessary to support the evolving needs of the business.
