The role

As a Senior Manager, you’ll join our leadership team to help drive our growth, taking the lead on certain sectors / activities.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Leading the delivery of support to a portfolio of clients, while reporting to Directors and above

  • Leading the management and delivery of large projects

  • Leading the financial management of clients, often cross-border

  • Developing strategies to solve complex challenges and helping other team members develop these skills

Essential Skills and Experience

Required:

  • 8 years PQE lawyer with strong technical data protection and ePrivacy experience gained in-house, or in a recognised data protection practice or in a relevant regulator (e.g. ICO)

  • People and project management experience

  • Excellent stakeholder management skills

  • Large project experience

  • Experience in drafting and reviewing documents and reports for board level audiences

  • Experience in providing data protection advice and guidance in relation to some or all of the following:

    • ePrivacy / Digital Marketing

    • Subject rights requests

    • International data transfers

    • Regulatory audit of security systems

    • Compliance review and business transformation

    • Data analytics

    • Personal data security breaches and subsequent remediation

    • Contentious data privacy matters and/or managing regulatory enquiries

    • Designing and implementing data privacy compliance framework, particularly on a cross-border basis

  • An aptitude and interest in technology

  • A high level of computer literacy, including a good working knowledge of Word, PowerPoint and legal databases

  • Be well organised and able to deal with large amounts of information and have excellent attention to detail

  • Experience of and/or interest in business development including publishing written work e.g. blogs, articles in trade and industry journals

  • Respect confidential information

  • Proven experience in training, coaching, supervising and developing others

  • Keeping up to date with emerging data protection and privacy regulation, case law and regulatory guidance

  • Keeping up to date with emerging business and economic issues and trends

  • Continuously developing your internal and external relationships and your PwC brand and that of the wider team
