Charity People are pleased to be working with a fantastic homelessness prevention charity in their search for a Contracts and Tendering Manager. The primary focus of this role will be developing new executive and senior management relationships to investigate and secure new business opportunities and develop ongoing relationships with existing funding providers, statutory and other service commissioners, and procurement staff.
Benefits & Culture:
* 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm with some flexibility to meet the requirements of the post
* Central office-based in Gateshead - happy with a hybrid home/office mix
* Pension, employer contribution is currently set at 7%
* 25 days holiday per year pro rata, plus statutory holidays
About the role
This is a role within the Business Development unit where you will lead on generating new partnerships, securing new business opportunities, and further developing existing relationships. You will be stewarding the funding partner journey to deliver the perception by external stakeholders that this charity is the leading homelessness related service delivery partner of choice. You will be working in a team who are responsible for the delivery of our ambitious business development and income generation strategy.
Developing and delivering innovative, comprehensive and convincing funding proposals that maximise engagement and interaction with funding partners, you will contribute to the team's overall income generation budget, especially with regard to key project delivery. To do this you will work closely with the Senior Leadership Team.
You will provide excellent management and stewardship, building strong relationships with your partners and across the organisation to ensure success.
About you
You will be an excellent income generation manager with a fundraising background. Be able to prioritise tasks, excellent communication skills as well as being self-motivated and highly organised. Be commercially-minded and have the ability to engage and influence individuals at all levels.
You will be a good writer, able to write engaging content for a wide range of audiences. You will also enjoy account management and cultivating long term partnerships.
In addition, you will be able to demonstrate experience of managing a portfolio of projects, budget plans and targets, and use of CRM databases.
