Research shows that high incidences of mental health issues in LGBTQ communities is a major, immediate concern and that, for many, access to LGBTQ specific support is essential.

This Brighton based charity is there to provide lifesaving and life-changing interventions by offering a highly effective, evidence-based mental health support. We are run by and for LGBTQ people with experience of mental health issues, and we are proud and passionate about our values and our co-production ethos and service user participation. Our vision is for a world where mental health of LGBTQ communities is a priority, free from stigma, respected and recognised.

Chief Executive Officer

Brighton, BN1 3XG – 3/4 days in the office for the first few months, with the option of more flexible working arrangements afterwards

£60,000-£65,000

This is an outstanding opportunity for a new Chief Executive Officer to join a skilled, committed and experienced staff team, with an engaged and supportive Board, to continue to lead the charity through this exciting phase of implementation and delivery, whilst also leading a strategic review of emerging opportunities and challenges, with a view to shaping future direction.

We are looking for a committed candidate with senior leadership experience of leading a service delivery organisation, ensuring infrastructures and resources are in place to match a growing demand. You will bring a strong understanding of the complexity of LGBTQ mental health services, and how to support their expansion. With a collaborative management style, you will have the ability to inspire and support an amazing group of Trustees, employees and volunteers, providing strategic directions and solutions. You will have a good understanding of diversity and inclusion practices, including anti-racism and anti-ableism. Crucially, you will have a real passion for improving the wellbeing of LGBTQ people who experience mental issues and contributing, with your work, to drive forward the organisations incredible mission and vision.
