We are looking for a dynamic and talented Business Development Manager to join our Lexology Getting The Deal Through team. This is a hybrid role requiring both account management and new business skills across a set of defined territories. You would be responsible for, nurturing and closing new business prospects and selling a variety of products to new clients, whilst also using your relationship management and negotiation skills to upsell and renew existing clients via telephone / screenshare presentations and email communications. The role includes international travel opportunities once current restrictions are lifted.
What you would be doing:
- Generate new business and grow existing accounts across a set of defined territories in our Lexology Getting The Deal Through team.
- Develop in-depth market and sector knowledge of clients and competitors that is shared within the company to enhance the client experience and product development.
- Develop and implement plans to meet and exceed quarterly new business and renewal targets.
- Support more junior members of the team, coaching and mentoring them when needed and taking an active role in their personal development within the company.
- Occasional lead generation tasks.
What we are looking for:
- At least 2-3 years of new business sales experience in a telephone-based role.
- Previous experience selling marketing solutions within the legal or professional services market is desirable, but not essential.
- A first-class track record of sales performance, excellent rapport building, negotiation and communication skills
- Experience of using a CRM system.
- An aptitude for working towards targets and deadlines and devising a personal strategy to hit and exceed them.
