The British Psychological Society is a registered charity which acts as the representative body for psychology and psychologists in the UK, and is responsible for the promotion of excellence and ethical practice in the science, education, and application of the discipline.
As an organisation we support and enhance the development and application of psychology for the greater public good, setting high standards for research, education, and knowledge, and disseminating our knowledge to increase public awareness.
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Membership and Professional Development directorate in a brand new role responsible for assisting in the development, administration and maintenance of our Virtual Learning Environment, ‘BPS Learn’. The platform was launched in 2020 and one of our key objectives for the future is to expand the suite of qualifications, courses and professional development opportunities available for our users.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Implementation of the Society’s strategy for the use of the platform, including:
- Developing and maintaining user guides and documentation
- Supporting staff with use of the system and platform users with queries, where required
- Ensuring quality standards are maintained across the platform
- Ensuring that there is continuous improvement of user experience of the platform
- Ensuring that content is quality assured and signed-off before being published
- Advising and supporting on the creation and presentation of new and existing products
- Building effective relationships with stakeholders and subject matter experts to ensure the design and delivery of creative and high-quality products
For the role you will require;
- Experience of administering an online learning platform
- The ability to think of creative solutions to problems
- The ability to develop relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
- Meticulous attention to detail to ensure that our VLE platform is delivered to the highest standard
