Senior Events Manager

We are seeking a Senior Events Manager for the UK’s leading learning disability charity; their vision is for the UK to be the best place for people with a learning disability to live happy and healthy lives.

Having just had their most successful fundraising year, they now have an opportunity for an experienced Senior Events Manager to join the team on a full-time permanent contract.

The Senior Events Manager role is part of the Community and Events Fundraising Team, which works across England, Wales and Northern Ireland on the active fundraising income streams. More specifically this role forms part of the Events side of the team, which covers all Third Party, Owned and Special Events activity.

The Senior Events Manager role will be home based with regular travel and on occasion there will be the requirement for an overnight stay.

This role will give you the opportunity to manage, implement and optimise strategy and operational delivery of the charities fundraising events portfolio. This role encompasses third part events, challenge events, beneficiary events and special events making it a very varied and interesting role. You will be responsible for line managing three direct reports.

You will need:

  • Previous experience of managing a fundraising events portfolio
  • Demonstrable example of successfully securing income through fundraising events
  • Experience of having previously line managed at least two team members
  • Excellent internal and stakeholder management skills
  • Proven experience of building long-lasting relationships with supporters
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
