An exciting opportunity has arisen to be our new Head of Business Services, part of the senior leadership team in this award-winning and successful Social Enterprise with a Mission to create opportunity and success in our local community.

This role leads and inspires an effective team to deliver our Membership offer, Business Support and Start Up programmes, inspirational Education programmes, and leads the Chamber’s Marketing function. The core remit of the job is to understand the business community in St Helens and develop fantastic services that drive growth, success, and opportunity.

The chamber is looking for a skilled and strategic leader, who wants to ensure that they maintain their position as the voice of local business. You will want to join a first-class business Membership organisation, recognised through awards and quality marks including the Queen’s Award for Enterprise, Investors in People Gold and Chamber of the Year.

Leading a talented team, you'll shape their future, acting swiftly and responsively to develop new services and initiatives. Working closely with senior colleagues and stakeholders you'll be confident to set strategic direction in your areas of responsibility.

The right candidate will have excellent networking, communication, and collaboration skills, and a track record of building and delivering in partnerships is essential. You'll know how to embed best practice, lead innovation, manage significant budgets and deliver great value services. You'll also have the people skills to manage suppliers, inspire teams and build strong, high-level relationships.

Personally, you will be collaborative and positive in your outlook, able to use your team to deliver across multiple agendas simultaneously. You will be entrepreneurial and excited by meeting and helping the businesses of St Helens, as well as working closely with the chambers proactive public sector stakeholders.

Candidates must be educated to degree level and have a full driving licence and the use of a vehicle.
