Who are we?

PwC’s Operate delivers operational and managed services solutions to clients across a range of situations often associated with their regulatory, risk and/or compliance agendas. Our teams work across a breadth of sectors and industries including: Financial Services, Oil & Gas, Automotive and Social Media. We bring together regulatory insight, highly skilled operational resources and an unrivalled technology offering to provide a high quality and cost effective solution to operational delivery challenges.

Our capabilities stretch across a number of business pillars including Financial Crime Operations, Compliance Testing, Technology Solutions and Customer Management. We have over 2,000 people located in our purpose built, secure delivery centre in Belfast and across our regional offices in London, Manchester, Cardiff, Glasgow and Edinburgh; as well as on a range of client sites.

About the role

As a Team Leader, your role is to provide leadership of a highly effective Technology Risk based ‘Third Party Assessment’ function for our Clients. Typically we run a cell model in which Team leads are directly responsible for their team and often work in conjunction with other team leads during delivery of programmes. The size of the project team that you will be immediately responsible for will vary depending on the size of the project. Ultimately, you will be responsible for inspiring and motivating individual team members, leading to collective team success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive individual and team performance through effective and achievable goal and target setting using performance management techniques to improve output and quality standards within the team.

  • Track and understand productivity against agreed deadlines. Engage with senior PwC and client stakeholders to solve potential risks, issues and problems.

  • Monitor and manage team capacity e.g. how illness/holiday impacts on ability to hit team targets and deadlines.

  • Managing escalations: providing teams with direction and also reporting to senior colleagues when support is required.

  • Deploy your understanding of Third Party Assessments in order to deliver to our clients’ requirements.

  • Directly support the continuous development of the Technology Risk team colleagues, enhancing their knowledge and their ability to interact directly with stakeholders and clients.

  • Support with the mobilisation and ongoing optimisation of large scale managed service programmes.

  • Employ operational methodologies, ensuring teams are equipped to successfully meet their own personal as well as team objectives.

  • Work with other team leaders and engage with individuals across the broader team to identify and support process improvement, staff engagement and consistency.

  • Identify areas for development and work with our training team to implement bespoke training quickly so that these needs are addressed and performance is enhanced.

  • Provide regular feedback on performance, based on feedback from a broad range of stakeholders, making sure you recognise strong and improved performance.
