Description

The starting salary for this position is £40,227 per annum based on a 36 hour working week.

Are you able to make a difference to children and young people’s health and wellbeing? Are you able to work across different organisations to deliver change? Do you want to be part of an exciting new Integrated Commissioning Team?

Surrey Heartlands CCG and Surrey County Council are seeking an experienced Commissioner to join our Integrated Children’s Commissioning Team. The role will have a pivotal part to play in shaping and delivering services for children, especially those services delivered in the community with partners in Health, Education and Social Care. The role will entail working with a broad range of children’s community health and care services and redesigning models of delivery that support children and young people to reach their aspirations.

We're looking for someone with the ability to:

  • Think strategically
  • Lead a team
  • Deliver high quality commissioning
  • Work within teams across multiple organisations
  • Be compassionate

You will possess good inter-personal skills, an ability to pick up pieces of work quickly, work well with people at different levels, both internal and external to the organisation, to achieve the best outcomes for the children and young people of Surrey.

We are looking for a Commissioner who already has Commissioning experience or who has worked in a commissioned service but possess strong transferable skills. The role requires someone that is passionate about improving outcomes for children and young people, with the ability, knowledge and experience of operating within a complex environment to inform and drive change.

Within this role, you will work on multiple commissioning projects and support transformation programmes. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong attention to detail and has strong relationship management skills. You may have experience working in a similar role for a CCG, Local Authority or within a Public Health team, of which your skills will be transferable.

You will be an integral member of a Directorate that works across health and social care children’s commissioning in Surrey. This role promises a varied portfolio that will enhance developing careers within a supportive and enthusiastic team.

At Surrey, our values and behaviours are just as important as our skills and abilities. They shape who we are as an organisation. Find out more about the values we follow.
