Hospice Director
We are currently seeking a Hospice Director to lead a Hospice in Leeds. This is a vital role with responsibility for delivering the strategic direction of the inpatient and community services provided.

Title: Hospice Director
Location: Leeds
Salary: £65,000 per annum
Hours: Full time 37.5 hours per week, with some on call and flexibility required as per the service needs
Contract: Permanent

About the service:
The Hospice in Headingley, Leeds combines specialist medical care for managing pain and other symptoms, with other emotional, practical and spiritual support for those with life limiting conditions and also help their loved ones and family.
The services offered at the Hospice include:
- Inpatient care
- Day Therapy Services (currently provided virtually)
- Community services
- Family and bereavement support
- Rehabilitation
- Complementary therapies
- Spiritual care
About the role:
Reporting into the COO this is a vital role with responsibility for formulating, setting and delivering the strategic direction of the inpatient and community services provided from the Hospice.
The Hospice Director will hold responsibility for creating an annual operational plan consistent with the agreed strategy always putting patients and service users first. Working with commissioners and providers across the ICS, the Hospice Director will be responsible for the growth and development of services for patients and their families along with growing statutory income to ensure the financial stability of the services. They will lead and motivate all staff to create a high performing and inclusive culture to ensure high quality, effective and safe services centred around the needs of patients and their families.
The Hospice Director will act as an ambassador for the service in the locality. This includes activity in support of fundraising and PR.
