Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Gathering market and customer insights to strategically identify potential leads
  • Ensuring that leads turn into clients/ customers Work cohesively with the workplace team, training and innovation team to ensure that the customer engagement strategy is implemented effectively
  • Evolve the customer engagement strategy in line with sector developments, organic leads and strategic opportunities Negotiating terms of sales and agreements and closing sales with new customers
  • Acting as a point of contact between D&A’s internal service delivery team (Training and Innovations), key stakeholders and customers
  • Responding to customer queries and providing information relevant to their needs, ultimately influencing them to invest in D&A’s services Work closely with wider D&A teams to ensure service delivery and pricing are in line with customers needs
  • Creating proposal documents as part of formal bidding procedures or customer pitches
  • Providing customers with detailed and accurate quotations and cost calculations
  • Providing monthly reports to line manager and CEO including details of the sales pipeline and new lead generation

Essential Criteria

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • High level of resilience and the ability to handle rejection well
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to flourish in a dynamic fast-paced environment
  • A great sense of self-motivation, ambition, and determination Ability to achieve desired results both individually and as part of a team
  • Excellent presentation and negotiation skills
  • Good self-management skills and ability to prioritise tasks effectively
  • Good knowledge and understanding of disability inclusion policy and practice
  • Ability to travel for meetings/ conferences at times on a short notice Ability to adapt quickly and respond in a timely way to sector changes and policy updates
  • At least 3 years of work experience in a sales-oriented role (preferably within the social enterprise/ socially oriented organisations)
  • Experience in closing contracts and generating sales (including high-value contracts) Experience in public speaking, negotiation, CRM systems and social media marketing will also be beneficial Experience in working as part of a team delivering an organisational strategy

Desirable Criteria

  • Good working knowledge of the google suite (google drive, gmail etc)
  • Working knowledge of the software HubSpot
  • Working knowledge of the software Better Proposals
  • Sound knowledge of inclusive practices and disability theory
  • Lived experience of being a disabled person or indirect experience of the impacts of disablement
  • An openness to learn and commit to ongoing professional development
  • Experience in presenting to small, medium and large audiences
  • Autonomously and proactively staying up to date with relevant sector best practice
