Description
Houses in multiple occupation play an important role across the private rented sector in Swansea, not least due to the large number of students in our two universities. We have an estimated 2,200 HMOs and an additional HMO licensing scheme covering three central Wards in the city.
Environmental health practitioners have played a central role in responding to the Covid-19 pandemic and as we implement a recovery plan, we are looking for two professionally qualified Environmental Health Officers on a temporary basis to work in our Pollution Control and Private Sector Housing Division. Your work will focus on HMO licensing within the private sector housing team.
One post is a maternity cover for 12 months and the other is a temporary post for 9 months.
