As Head of IT, you’ll lead the IT department in its support of the organisation, through the introduction and maintenance of best practice in the professional, high-quality provision of IT structure, telecommunications, business systems and strategic planning of future IT requirements.

You’ll provide expert knowledge and experience as well as an innovative approach and support and develop the IT strategy, ensuring it is continually appraised and updated to reflect the IT requirements. A key decision maker who can provide strategic and professional leadership on IT projects and development, you’ll provide pro-active, comprehensive, solution orientated support to all employees on all IT matters, ensuring that all systems are secure, stable, and robust, and take responsibility for the operational, strategic planning and provision of resource for the delivery of projects and support across the organisation. You’ll also oversee all IT related purchasing budget preparation and monitoring and manage the tender processes in relation to IT hardware, networks and security, telephony, printer hardware and service together with software solutions.

About You

They are looking for an individual who holds an appropriate IT or business qualification and who has a proven track record in IT management. Self-motivated and dynamic, you’ll have proven experience of the delivery of successful IT systems development and technology projects, budget management including development of business cases and inspirational leadership. You’ll have a strong inclusive team working approach, be able to communicate, present and influence at all levels of the organisation and be able to establish clear, challenging, and achievable objectives, regularly reviewing and communicating progress against said objectives.

Highly organised and with excellent attention to detail, you’ll have knowledge of change management processes and experience of working with an accounting and warehouse system. We’d like you to have significant knowledge and experience of strategic planning, implementing, and managing large scale complex IT and be comfortable working in a fast paced, high growth environment. Online retail experience would be a distinct advantage, however, it’s not essential.
