Description
Product Manager (Trustnet) - 12 month Fixed Term Contract
Wellcome is a global charitable foundation. We improve health for everyone by funding science, leading policy and advocacy campaigns, and building partnerships.
We plan to spend £16bn over the next ten years, funding new discoveries in life, health and wellbeing, and taking on three global health challenges: mental health, infectious disease and climate.
These challenges need the bold research our funding supports, but they won't be solved by science alone.
Where in Wellcome will I be working?
Wellcome's Corporate Affairs team works to build and sustain the trust, influence, reputation, and brand that will help us ensure science works for and with the people we seek to benefit.
We are looking for a Product Manager who will be responsible for the migration of Wellcome's award winning intranet, Trustnet. In this role you will work within an agile framework with software engineers and product designers to deliver the migration from discovery to launch. You will also work closely with the Internal Communications team and People team to maximise the opportunity by making key product improvements.
What will I be doing?
This role will be an important part of the Digital Communications and Product Team within Corporate Affairs and join a growing community of Product Managers across Wellcome that offer peer support.
As a Product Manager you will;
Maintain a product roadmap based on research, data analysis and key goals for the product.
Scope the migration working with the Lead Product Manager and Head of Digital to agree approach, technology and resource.
Ensure there is always a clear rationale presented to SLT about the appropriate resource needed to deliver the product.
Monitor progress and advise management on progress, changes or impediments.
Participate in, or lead as necessary: user research, workshops, sprint planning, daily stand-ups, product demos and sprint retrospectives.
Edit, upload and curate content when needed.
Upskill others across Wellcome to create and upload their own digital content, including providing CMS support and content editing.
Together with the delivery manager, lead/coordinate/motivate a product team of staff and contractors.
Lead their product team to co-create and maintain appropriate artefacts, such as a product backlog, which enable the team to effectively plan and deliver their work, using Scrum, Kanban or other Agile or lean product management techniques as appropriate.
We are looking for someone with experience of:
Working as a product manager in an agile software development team
Maintaining product roadmaps
Excellent relationship management skills, able to manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels of seniority. Good networker.
Using data analytics and user research to shape product roadmap and development
Imaginative and creative
Excellent problem-solver with a solutions-focused approach.
Salary - £67,185
Closing date: 21/03/2022 - Late applications will not be accepted.
Contract type: 12 month Fixed Term Contract
