We are currently looking for an enthusiastic Teacher of Mathematics to join our team from September 2022.

The Mathematics Department at Abbey College Cambridge is a large and very successful department of committed professionals who are passionate about the subject. We come from a range of backgrounds and experiences and we work together as a friendly and mutually supportive team.

We currently offer a wide range of courses to suit all individual needs, including; AS/A Level Mathematics, AS/A Level Further Mathematics, GCSE Mathematics and Further Mathematics, Foundation, pre-sessional, STEP and AEA classes.

Hours: 37.5 Hours per week. 9am to 5:30pm Monday to Friday (Part time, minimum 30 hours per week will be considered.

Your duties and responsibilities will include the following:

  • Delivering high quality lessons. Facilitating the college’s goal of high student academic achievement. Informing parents about student progress. Engaging in the college’s pastoral care for all students in the college. Engaging in appraisals and reviews, and taking part in training and development.

Qualifications and Experience

Teaching international students at GCSE and A-level should be a passion for you and to be considered for this position you must hold a degree-level qualification, enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service clearance and proof of right to work in the UK. Knowledge of the appropriate curricula would also be beneficial.
